Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Introduction

Finarami™ ("Finarami," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Toutami, Inc.. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at https://finarami.com.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, referral sources, browser type, device information, and IP address.
  • Analytics Data: A record of individual page views and interactions — the page, the time, the referring site, approximate location, device type, browser and operating system, and properties describing the content such as sport, locale and reading depth. Each record carries a pseudonymous identifier that is regenerated daily, which is designed to prevent activity being followed from one day to the next. We do not link these records to your account.

On location specifically: our analytics service derives an approximate country, region and city from your IP address without storing the IP address itself. The longer-term copy we keep for reporting is narrower still — it retains country and region only, and city is discarded before that copy is written.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies to improve our service. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
  • Account Information: If you create an account, we collect the information you provide such as email address and display name.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and maintain the website
  • To improve user experience and content quality
  • To analyze usage patterns and optimize performance
  • To communicate with you about your account or inquiries
  • To comply with legal obligations

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Analytics records are kept for up to 14 months under our retention process, and are removed after that. They carry only the daily-rotating pseudonym described above and never your IP address. We do not link them to your account, and because the identifier changes every day it is not designed to allow a visitor to be followed from one day to the next.

This does mean that if you ask us to delete your analytics data, we are generally unable to identify which records relate to you, because nothing in them ties back to your account. If you contact us about a specific request we will explain what we can and cannot locate.

Server request logs, which do contain IP addresses, are kept for 30 days for security and reliability. Where we retain request data for longer, the IP address is shortened or replaced with an irreversible value first.

Cookies & Tracking

We group the technologies we use into two categories. You control the second one.

  • Strictly necessary (always on): a small number of first-party cookies and local storage entries required to operate the site — your sign-in and session (Supabase authentication), basic security, your theme preference, and a record of the cookie choice you make below. These do not track you across sites and cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics: we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service that we host ourselves. It records individual page views and interactions, but it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not track you across sites. Records are grouped by an identifier derived fresh each day, so activity cannot be followed from one day to the next and we have no means of connecting it back to you. Because it stores nothing on your device, it runs by default. We do not currently load any optional product analytics, so no analytics identifier is stored in your browser. The choice below is kept so that it stays yours if that ever changes: if you choose "necessary only" (or reject non-essential cookies), nothing beyond the strictly necessary entries above is stored, and cookieless Plausible continues to count aggregate visits without storing anything on your device or identifying you.

When you first visit, a non-blocking banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize your choice. Your decision is stored in your browser (and a matching first-party cookie) so we remember it on future visits.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we honor it as an opt-out of non-essential analytics — no consent-gated tracker is loaded (none is loaded today in any case) and we record that preference without showing a banner. Cookieless Plausible continues to count aggregate visits.

Changing your choice: you can update your preferences at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the site footer, which reopens the consent controls.

Your Privacy Choices (California / CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

  • We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • You can opt out of non-essential analytics at any time via the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer.
  • We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request.

To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us at legal@toutami.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services for analytics, hosting, and content delivery. These services may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at legal@toutami.com and we will promptly delete it.
